Data Pools
Datasets that are formed by aggregating many individual datasets from users. Users can contribute their data to these pools in exchange for CGDX tokens. The data is then made available to other users.
Mechanics of Data Pools
Each Data Pool will have the following attributes:
- Token Allocated
- The amount of CGDX tokens that are allocated to the pool.
- Minimum Data Quality Score
- The minimum quality score of data that can be contributed to the pool.
- Max Incentive per User
- The maximum number of CGDX tokens that can be earned by a user for contributing data to the pool.
- An Option to Stake
- Users can stake their CGDX tokens to the pool to earn a share of the pool's rewards if this option is enabled.
- Price
- The price at which users can access the data in the pool.
Data Pool Lifecycle
The lifecycle of a data pool is as follows:
Data Pool Creation
Any one can create a data pool. The creator of the pool will have to specify the attributes mentioned above. The creator will need to hold a certain amount of CGDX tokens to create a pool.
Data Pool Usage
Users can access the data in the pool by paying the price set by the pool creator. The price will be in CGDX tokens. The data quality score of the data in the pool will be displayed to the user before they decide to access the data.
Data Pool Rewards
Users can earn CGDX tokens by contributing data to the pool. The amount of tokens earned will depend on the quality of the data contributed. The data quality score will be calculated by the CognideX platform.
Data Pool Staking
Users can stake their CGDX tokens to the pool to earn a share of the pool's sale. The share of rewards will depend on the amount of tokens staked by the user. The staking option will be enabled by the pool creator.
Data Pool Closure
Once the token allocation of the pool is exhausted, the pool will be closed for contribution. Users can still access the data in the pool by paying the price set by the creator. The creator can choose to close the pool at any time.
Price Proposals
Anyone can negotiate for a deal with the pool creator to access the data in the pool at a different price. Th creator will then create the proposal and the user can accept or reject the proposal.
Contributing Data to a Data Pool
To contribute data to a data pool, users will have to follow the steps the creator of the pool has set. The data quality score of the data will be calculated by the CognideX platform. The user will be rewarded with CGDX tokens based on the quality of the data contributed.
For Example: If a user contributes data with a quality score of 8, and the max incentive per user is 100 CGDX tokens, the user will earn 80 CGDX tokens.
